04 January 2019 3

Motorola has many new phones to launch this year and we have started gaining insights on them already. Shifting a bit of the focus from the next-gen G-series, you would realize the company has one more phone to offer and it looks to be the successor to the P30. This is going to be the 2019 iteration of the Android One phone and first renders of the same are also available.

While the renders revealed the design of the Motorola P40, the specs weren’t known before, well until now only. The key specifications of the Motorola P40 are also out, thus giving us a complete revelation.

The Motorola P40 is tipped to feature the 6.2-inch HD+ IPS display. It will be powered by Snapdragon 675 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage variants. It’s going to have dual rear cameras with configuration 48MP+5MP, these would by AI-powered but the specifically related features are still unknown. It will have NFC, which means the device is going to have a glass back; also it packs 4132mAH battery and will come with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The Motorola P40 includes a display hole that accommodates the selfie camera and according to the tip surfaced, it’s 12MP AI camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture.

The Motorola P40 is going to become one of the first phones with a 48MP camera, however, it’s going to be similar to the one in the upcoming Redmi Pro 2.
