04 January 2019 4

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is known for its smartphones, though a major portion of its sales also come from the accessories like headphones, battery packs and more. The company has now released an amazing 20,000mAh capacity battery that it has named as Mi Power Bank 3 Pro with 45W dual way fast charging which gives it’s a definite edge over the competitive products.

Packing three ports for charging, one USB Type-C port while two USB-A ports where the Type-C port take 45W (15V/3A) both input and output. Likewise, the USB-A ports have a maximum output of 18W. This enables this battery pack to charge a wide range of products like Apple’s Macbook Pro and Mac Book Air models in addition to Huawei’s Matebook models as well.

The battery pack could charge other devices while getting charged its self, thus supporting pass-through charging. The maximum output it offers when both the USB-A ports are charging is 15W each. Interestingly, Xiaomi shared how the 11 hours of charging time become a minimal of just 4.5 hours if charged through the 45W charger.

Built with ABS plastic offering ceramic-like gloss finish and offers support for smart wearables charging as well considering its low power support and 9 layers of circuit chip protection. The tech would be available for purchase from 11 January onwards at a price point of $29.
