Razer unveils Blade 15 Advance laptop boasting Nvidia RTX graphics at CES 2019

07 January 2019 2

Razer had an amazing year with CES 2018 last year where the company unveiled its new products including the much talked about Android laptop and phone hybrid. This year on CES 2019, Razer is here to begin the show with its new edition to the 15-inch laptop series Blade. The Razer Blade 15 advanced shows the beautiful future that these gaming laptops are heading towards especially making Blade one of the most powerful and beautiful looking gaming setups in a compact machine.

Boasting eight Intel CPUs and Nvidia 1060 and 1070 GPUs and all packed in a slim body, offers a lot for normal day to day tasks apart from its focus in the gaming zone. One of the major highlights of this device is it offering the all new Nvidia RTX 20-series GPUs where the graphics options available to be incorporated include ‘RTX 2060 (6 GB), RTX 2070 Max-Q (8 GB) or the RTX 2080 Max-Q (8 GB)’.

The Max-Q designates to the little tradeoff done between processing capability vs ability to coup up with thermal and power consumption limitations of the device considering it’s a slim offering. The laptop comes with the ability for facial recognition IR camera compatible with Windows Hello. Display resolution includes a 144Hz 1,920x1,080 along with another 4K variant that offers touchscreen as well.

The base model will be made available for $1,599 that offers Nvidia 1060 graphics while the other RTX-20 series variant would be priced between $2,299 to $2,999. Interestingly, we would also get to see a new gaming monitor that the company is referring to as ‘concept’ which would be more of a prototype that would offer an edge to edge display with 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution and 144Hz display refresh rate. It supports HDR content and offers 95 percent of DCI-P3 color gamut.

Unique to Razer, it would surely have a Chrome-powered light built into the base synced with rest of the Chroma gear. The company aims to see this device in the stores around 2019 for a price point of $699.
