Verizon partners with Disney to explore 5G innovations in entertainment

09 January 2019 2

CES 2019 is shaping up to be pretty promising. Verizon and Walt Disney have great plans for the future of entertainment powered by 5G. Verizon has made a surprising announcement. The company has decided to partner with Walt Disney in order to deliver 5G connectivity for ensuring top-notch media and entertainment. The 5G network will be made available throughout the Disney studio, ensuring that work is completed as quickly and effectively as possible.

Both companies stand to benefit from this venture. Disney will have at hand Verizon’s next-gen wireless broadband, offering super-fast speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second. Verizon's chief marketing officer, Diego Scotti, is elated by this partnership as he believes that it has the possibility to "transform the future of filmmaking and entertainment."

Verizon is even teaming up with the New York Times to establish a 5G journalism lab. However, the exact details of that venture have still not been made clear. It seems like 2019 is going to witness the rise and development of 5G technology and application in various fields!

A speed of up to 10 gigabits/second will be ground-breaking for entertainment. This partnership is an out of the way from Verizon to join hands with an entertainment channel.
