11 January 2019 2

Rumour has it that the Vivo Y91 smartphone may arrive soon in India. The smartphone was first launched in November 2018 in the Philippines and then made its way to Pakistan in December of the same year. Given the popularity of the Vivo Y93 in India, there’s a lot to look forward to the budget-end Vivo Y91 smartphone. According to retail stores, the smartphone is expected to grace the shelves in Indian stores before 20th January.

Considering the 20th of January isn’t too far away, we’ll probably see an official announcement of the arrival of the Vivo Y91 smartphone to India. The smartphone features a fairly large screen size of 6.22-inches with a FullView display which supports a resolution of 720x1520 pixels. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 439 chipset. This is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Fortunately, it supports expandable storage via microSD card. In India, the variant of the Vivo Y91 which is expected to launch will feature the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and will be coupled with 2GB RAM.

In terms of the camera department, the Vivo Y91 is equipped with a dual-rear camera setup of 13MP+2MP and a front-facing selfie shooter of 8MP. The device features a fingerprint scanner, has a 4.030mAh battery and runs on FunTouch OS 4.5 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The Vivo Y91 will be available in starry black and ocean blue for Rs 10,990.

Without a shade of doubt, there's a lot of popularity of the Vivo brand and the Y91 as well. But post the launch of Redmi Note 7, the picture can change.
