The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 that will finally pull the curtains off isn’t too far from us but still, the leaks aren’t stopping by and spewing out information almost every day to make us more familiar with the series. Well, currently these streams of leaks can’t be stopped so let’s just enjoy what comes to your way before the Unpacked launch event.
Moving on, Max Weinbach, an XDA TV host and contributor to XDA portal has spilled the beans about the Galaxy S10. In his long threaded tweets, he has revealed loads of key information about the Galaxy S10 series. This is one of the huge leaks as it covers several aspects of the phones, including the camera configuration, accessories, memory and storage configurations, key specs, and more.
Memory and storage configurations -
Among other revelations, the source says the Galaxy S10 Lite (Galaxy S10 E) will come with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage; the standard Galaxy S10 will have 6GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage; the Plus variant will have 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB storage options. He also adds that the Galaxy S10+ 5G variant will have a choice of 8GB or 12GB RAM with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage.
It should be noted that recently, a report said that the Galaxy S10 trio will include LPDDR5 RAM, but Weinbach's tweets didn't mention the same.
About the cameras –
Weinbach citing his sources reveals the camera configuration of the Galaxy S10 series as well. According to his one of the threaded tweets, the Galaxy S10, S10 Lite, and the S10+ will have an ultra-wide 16MP f/1.9 lens with a 123-degree field of view but no optical image stabilization (OIS). They also have a 12MP standard lens with a variable aperture that can switch between f/1.5 and the f/2.4. The Galaxy S10+ will additionally have a 13MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with OIS and 45-degree field of view. While the Galaxy S10 Lite and the standard Galaxy S10 would have two lenses, the S10 Plus is going to have three lenses.
Weinbach has also put the claims on the camera features. According to his tweet, the S10’s camera will have both ‘Bright Night’ and portrait lighting.
The Galaxy S10 phone will have the same speaker grille design as seen on the Galaxy Note 9 and the chin is slightly larger than the top and side bezels. All the phones will have dual NPU just like Kirin 980 phones. But he has mentioned taking this information with a grain of salt at the moment as he has to look into it. The Power button on the Galaxy S10+ is way above the Bixby button and high up. The S10 and S10 Lite have it similar to what the Galaxy S9 had.
All the fingerprint scanner are ultrasonic; the Galaxy S10 and S10+ have the in-screen fingerprint scanner but the S10 Lite has it on the side.
He also revealed that the phone will come with a pair of AKG earbuds. They have a new color now and the logo is now on the side. All the phones have a glossy finish instead of the matte and even the charger has the same matte finish. They all are going to have Note 9 style infinity wallpapers.
