Apple has announced that Microsoft Office 365 is now available on Mac App Store for Apple users. The company has stated that Mac users can now download directly the signature apps including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, among others from the Microsoft Windows system.
The launch of the Microsoft Office in Apple Store has come after a long wait. The Cupertino giant had first announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2018, that Microsoft Office package would be available to users by the end of 2018.
Users can now purchase a subscription for Microsoft Office 365 from within the apps, that are designed specifically to support features which are unique to the Mac experience.
Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, stated that the company has been working closely with Apple to provide Mac users with an excellent productivity experience which is uniquely designed for the Mac system.
In a press release from Apple, VP Phil Schiller said, “Apple and Microsoft have worked together to bring great Office productivity to Mac users from the very beginning. Now, with Office 365 on the Mac App Store, it’s easier than ever to get the latest and best version of Office 365 for Mac, iPad and iPhone.”
The Office 365 apps are available from the Mac App Store with a free one-month trial, post which users can subscribe to the six-app bundle for $69.99.
