Samsung Galaxy Buds passes through FCC certification

30 January 2019 2

A recently floating rumor revealed how Samsung Galaxy Active, Buds, Fit and Fit Mini would be launching at an event coming ahead. The company previously also shared the name of the upcoming wireless earbuds when a patent surfaced online in this regard for Galaxy Buds moniker. Last year Samsung announced gear IconX (2018) and Galaxy Buds seems like a successor to that.

Now in the latest development, Galaxy Buds passes through FCC (US Federal Communications Commission). The certifications show model number SM-R170 and are given the title of ‘Samsung Bluetooth Headset’. The document also shares the production of the headset would take place in Samsung’s factory in Vietnam. In case you’re wondering, this is the same device that was listed on the certification by Bluetooth SIG last week.

The device would be made available in different colors like black, yellow and white. It’s expected that the device would be unveiled at the Galaxy Fit launch event. Are you excited to get your hands on this? Let us know in the comment section below.
