Huawei P30 and P30 Pro renders leak online

30 January 2019 2

As MWC 2019 draws closer, expectations rise for the Huawei P30 series. Huawei will use MWC 2019 as its platform for announcing its P30 series which will launch at a company conference in March and April. Considering how well the camera on the P20 smartphones performed, the P30 series is going to have to live up to a lot. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait till MWC 2019 to get a glimpse of the P30/P30 Pro as renders of the device have already leaked online.

Unfortunately, the leaked renders don’t reveal the smartphone in all its glory since the phone is covered by a protective cover. However, we can still see a few key features. The renders revel that there will be a P30 as well as P30 Pro smartphone. From the little that is visible, the P30 is equipped with a vertically aligned Leica triple rear-camera setup. The smartphone has a waterdrop notch and will most likely launch with the Kirin 980 SoC. Rumour has it that the Huawei P30 will feature a triple camera setup with up to a 40 MP sensor with support for 5X lossless zoom.

The Huawei P30 Pro will launch with a quadruple rear-camera setup with three traditional lenses for capturing images and another which is a 3D ToF sensor. This is essential for D face recognition and 3D modelling. The smartphone is expected to use Sony’s new 38MP IMX607 sensor which has support for 10x optical zoom. Which feature about the Huawei P30/P30 Pro interests you the most?
