Chrome OS multiple account support is finally coming

31 January 2019 3

Last September, reports had come up about an upcoming Chrome OS feature which would allow users to log in multiple Google accounts simultaneously. A skeleton of the feature was found but at that time it didn't work. After months of waiting the feature is finally live in the latest Chrome OS Canary version.

The setting to add new accounts is available under Settings -> People -> Google Accounts. Once users authenticate it, they will be able to use it in Android apps including Gmail, Calendar, Play Books, Google Docs, etc.

The video shows how to add a new account and where it becomes available. The feature is currently available on Chrome OS Canary, and we will have to wait a little bit longer until it reaches the beta and stable channels.

As of now, there is no information when the feature will be rolled out in beta. However, now there is hope that Google is planning to roll out the feature soon.
