Huawei P30 Pro 5G variant to sell in Europe only

11 February 2019 3

Huawei Poland had recently issued an official statement that they will hold a special conference in Paris in March to release the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones. Now a new rumour has been posted on Weibo which states that the company is also planning to launch a 5G variant of the Huawei P30 Pro.

The rumour states that the 5G variant of the Huawei P30 Pro will be very expensive, and will be initially available only in Europe.

A number of smartphone makers have already announced that they will launch 5G smartphones in the company months. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has shown the 5G version of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3. Other Chinese smartphone makers including OPPO, VIVO, and ZTE have also shown their 5G phones. Huawei has also released a 5G chip called the Barong 5000, so it’s likely that the company could also launch the 5G version of the Huawei P30 Pro.

Rumours suggest that the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will have a water drop screen design. The Huawei P30 will have a 6.1-inch OLED display and will retain its 3.5mm headphone jack. The Huawei P30 Pro will have a larger 6.5-inch OLED display and will come with a 22.5w fast charging option.

The Huawei P20 series was unveiled last year in March, and the company is expected to launch its latest P30 series at the same time again this year. We will know more about the upcoming phones soon, so stay tuned!
