Sony is attending MWC 2019 event and it seems to have many new phones with 21:9 displays to offer. Speculations have suggested that there could be Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus phones which we had been addressing Xperia XA3 and the Xperia XA3 Plus before. Well, these aren’t the only phones with different naming convention as the much-rumored triple cameras mounted device Xperia XZ4 is also expected to come with a different name and this could be Xperia 1.
The Xperia XZ4 is expected to come with triple rear cameras and the prolific tipster Evan Blass has shared a picture of such device but the name he captioned is Xperia 1. So, it’s fair to believe that the Xperia XZ4 is actually the Xperia 1. Going by the previous rumor, this device is said to have a 52MP tripe rear camera setup and ultra-long 21:9 display.
According to the render shared by the tipster, the triple rear cameras are vertically stacked in the middle of the phone. There’s no fingerprint scanner mounted on the back which hints at the fact, it’s side-mounted. The Volume rocker seems to have been placed above the fingerprint scanner and below to it, comes the power button. There is, however, one more dedicated key for launching the camera.
Past reports have claimed that the Xperia XZ4 now Xperia 1 could be powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The handset may include a big battery of 4,400mAH capacity and it will run Android 9 Pie OS out-of-the-box. Apart from the 52MP main camera sensor, the phone may include a 16MP telephoto lens and a 0.3MP 3D ToF sensor.
The MWC event is just two days away from us. So, let’s just wait to see what’s new coming this time.
