Galaxy S10 series gets listed on Netflix HDR10-supported devices

04 March 2019 2

Netflix’s list of supported devices to play HDR content has now expanded further to include the very latest Galaxy S10 series which include the Galaxy S10e, S10, and the S10 Plus.

To the uninitiated ones, the content available on Netflix covers a range of quality badges – from SD to 4K and to even HDR for an extended color gamut. The High Dynamic Range delivers a better image to the customers as it offers brighter quality with deeper blacks.

At the same time, the Netflix in HD support is now also available on Samsung’s recently announced Galaxy M series. This includes all the variants of the Samsung Galaxy M10, M20, and M30.

In related news, Netflix is expanding general HD support to devices running on top of Qualcomm’s latest chipset. So, if your device is powered by a Snapdragon 675 or 710 processor or a very latest Snapdragon 855 then it should work with HD playback on the Netflix app.

And good news for the M series too, for offering the HD support. The M series is not as expensive as the flagship one, but still brings in better features than mid-range phones. So, it's cool news for those looking to buy the M series phones.
