Apple’s annual meeting in California this year shed some light on what plans the company has for future products. The CEO of the company, Tim Cook, gave us a glimpse into a sort of roadmap which Apple has in mind. Coinciding with this is the rumour that Apple has purchased foldable display panels from Samsung in an attempt to hop onto the foldable smartphone bandwagon. It’s quite clear that foldable displays are in vogue in 2019. LetsGoDigital has taken it a step further by showing the world what an Apple foldable tablet may look like.
A render or rather a concept foldable Apple iPad is shown off by the Dutch publication. Well, that’s if Apple decides to go down that route and actually manufacture foldable iPads. This is purely based on speculation but the idea doesn’t seem completely ridiculous as the company has expressed its interest in manufacturing foldable smartphones. Perhaps the Samsung Galaxy Fold, as well as the Huawei Mate X, have inspired Apple to have its own foldable device. In fact, the idea of a foldable iPad doesn’t sound too bad as it would result in better portability.
Apple relying upon Samsung for a foldable display isn’t out of the ordinary. Did you know that Samsung has supplied Apple with OLED panels before? These were used in some of the highest-end Apple iPhones. Would you like Apple to manufacture foldable iPads? Let us know your take on it in the comments section.
