iPhone 2019 alleged chassis piece highlights triple rear cameras

05 April 2019 2

There have been several reports stating Apple would bring at least one iPhone in 2019 with triple rear cameras. Now since we have moved into this year, we are encountering traces that corroborate all those reports that started to come early even when iPhone 2018 didn't arrive. Recently, we saw an alleged schematic of the iPhone and now we are seeing a chassis piece which is particularly highlighting the triple rear cameras once again.

Someone posted this picture of chassis piece on the Chinese social media, Weibo highlight the cutouts for those three camera sensors that iPhone may adorn this year.

The configuration of these camera sensors is, of course, under the wraps, but according to speculations, one of them will be used for depth mapping. Nothing concrete is available now that could help us in shaping the version of it, but at least there are so many mockups available that could solidify your imagination a bit. Mockups have also been posted on Weibo and later tweeted by the graphics designer Ben Geskin.

An analyst with a good track record in predicting Apple’s upcoming products forecasted that Apple would bring an iPhone with triple rear cameras. And, later a renowned leaker OnLeaks came up with some renderings of this supposed iPhone 2019 model.

No other information is available but let's assume that these three cameras would allow for a larger field of view, a wider zoom range, and improved low light performance. Let’s wait to see what comes next. Till then curb your curiosity.

Was this chassis image leaked earlier too? There was something like this that I remember to have seen before - that chassis with holes.
