Yesterday the US giant chip manufacturer Qualcomm wraps off the cover from three new upper mid-range chipsets including Snapdragon 665, 730 and 730G. The Snapdragon 655 SoC is announced as the direct successor of Snapdragon 660 chipset. Last year the Snapdragon 710 SoC was announced as the latest best mid-range chipset, the company announced two new successors. The Snapdragon 730 is the direct successor of Snapdragon 665 chipset whereas the Snapdragon 730G is specially optimized for gaming.
For sure one thing in everyone's mind is how the latest chipsets are better than the predecessor. Fortunately, all three latest chipsets prototype appeared on the AnTuTu benchmarking site which gives a pretty good idea regarding what to expect from these chipsets in terms of performance.
As expected the Snapdragon 730G is the best amongst all. It achieves an impressive score of 86915 points on CPU test and 66,398 points on the GPU test. Just for the sake of reminding the last year's Snapdragon 710 achieved 66,584 CPU points and 47,736 points on the GPU test.
The Snapdragon 730 emerge as the second-best chipset which achieves 82,915 points on the CPU test and 63,398 points on the GPU test. The Snapdragon 665 is the last amongst all but still, it manages to beat its predecessor. In the CPU test, it lags by around 10,000 which is quite surprising whereas in the GPU test it is slightly ahead. The latest chipsets are meant for better gaming and photography experience and better AI assistance.
The latest Snapdragon 700 lineup chipsets are built on the 8nm process. The Adreno 618 SoC is taking care of graphics. Feel free to share your thoughts regarding the latest chipsets AnTuTu benchmark appearance in the comments section below. Stay tuned.
