Huawei has announced its new 2-in-1 always-connected notebook MateBook E 2019 and it looks quite elegant with its compelling aesthetics and slim profile. The notebook is powered by the Snapdragon 850 processor and it runs Windows 10 Home. This is the company’s first connected PC which means, now Huawei also counts under the list of a few companies who are working on it.
The all-new MateBook E 2019 includes an 8GB RAM and comes in either 256GB or 512GB of UFS storage. It has support for 4G LTE (nano-SIM) which covers network bands in most regions. The product has a 2-in-1 detachable profile and comes with an integrated kickstand. It has a 12-inch qHD display (2160 x 1440 pixels) display. The notebook is lightweight and has fanless architecture as well. The detachable keyboard doesn’t have backlit feature but it’s equipped with a touchpad and an NFC chip enables Huawei Share OneHop service. There’s also separate allocation to carry the M-Pen.
The always-on connected PCs are always on just like smartphones. They switch on instantly the moment you touch the button.
The Huawei MateBook E 2019 includes two Dolby Atmos stereo speakers on the sides. The rest of the configuration includes a 36.3Wh battery, which should ensure more than 20 hours of usage, a 5MP front webcam and a 13MP primary one with autofocus, WiFi 802.11ac 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, a USB Type-C, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a fingerprint sensor positioned on the edge. It also supports eSIM to connect to an LTE-4G network on the move.
The price of the notebook isn’t disclosed but it will be available in the Chinese market in May.
