Huawei said that it will bring the 5G variant of its Mate 20 X smartphone which means other hardware specifications would be intact. However, this is not entirely true as per the most recent leak. According to the claim made on Twitter, the 5G phone from Huawei will indeed be a variant of the Mate 20 X but with a couple of changes.
According to the leak, the Mate 20 X 5G would include the 4,200mAH battery, not the massive 5,000mAH one which is present in the standard version. The reason is untold, but you can safely assume that the device may come fitted with extra hardware needed for the 5G radios. So, compromise of the several mAH has been made so as to accommodate extra antennas for the 5G-capable. Also, it will include the 40W Super Charge charging tech by Huawei which is missing in the Mate 20 X. However, it will retain the humongous 7.2-inch display.
In other related news, an alleged packaging of the Mate 20 X 5G has leaked online. The surfaced image shows a retail box for the device that also includes a couple of mentions of 5G connectivity.
The price and availability details of the device are still under cover but we do expect to launch it sometime around the launch of Mate X 5G which is set to go on sale in the second half of this year.
