Reportedly, the OnePlus 7 Pro will support the HDR10+ and OnePlus has talked about the importance of having this support. OnePus has reportedly said,
HDR10+ provides frame-by-frame adjustments for the optimum representation of contrast from the HDR source content. HDR10+ also produces 4000 nits of peak brightness, a massive increase of 3,000 nits compared to HDR10. Being an open format, it's license and royalty free and therefore easily adoptable by manufacturers and content producers with quality maintained through an HDR10+ certification and logo program.
OnePlus CEO Pet Lau has reportedly said,
HDR10+ is the future of not just television displays, but also smartphone displays as well. We hope that our newest device will set a new benchmark for the smartphone industry and open up a new world of visual fluidity for users. We're glad we are leading the ranks in sharing quality technology with the world.

OnePlus will be “launching more than one device this year” with “unprecedented experience,” and “breakthrough” display and 5G. These are some of the claims made by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau in several “exclusive” interviews with multiple publications.
That’s true that OnePlus 7 is coming with its Pro model as well and the company will announce the launch event date for these devices today. Well, before the actual launch of these devices, we are getting to see too much hype around these products. The decision of the company to launch two devices at one event is itself big news as it’s happening for the first time. What makes this more interesting are the several claims made by the company’s CEO in multiple interviews with the media on its display.
Speaking exclusively with The Verge, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that a new Pro model will have a “whole new display which has to be seen to be believed.“ Lau says the company is spending a lot on the display of its phones this year and it’s expecting the new panel on the Pro model will “redefine fast and smooth” and set a new benchmark for mobile displays. Lau further said, “the first time I saw it myself, I was stunned.”
Lau didn’t specify the tech behind the “super-smooth” display. But the recent tip shared by tipster Ishan Agarwal now makes more sense. According to his tweet, the display of the Pro model will have a 90Hz refresh rate. So, now you’re able to connect the right dots of the past.
In another “exclusive” interview, this time with TheIndianEXPRESS, Lau has claimed that the new phone will offer an unprecedented experience. Lau was confident that users will find it “very hard to go back to other products afterwards.”
“We have made a number of changes and our new screen is something we’ve never even attempted before. The screen will be the biggest upgrade for the new product,” a note sent to the publication after the interview. “Since we started OnePlus, our aim has been to deliver a truly fast and smooth experience to our users. This time around, the display will create a new benchmark in standards of smoothness,” he added..
