Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition teardown shows how components are arranged

30 April 2019 3

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition is yet to hit the stores in China but its teardown is already available, thanks to a post surfaced on Weibo by a user. The teardown shows the pulled-apart Reno 10x Zoom and what it includes inside itself.

The disassembled teardown shows the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition’s triple rear cameras are housed in an L-shaped arrangement. However, the third sensor which is the Periscope lens is placed separately, though completing the L-shape. The configuration of the optics includes a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens, and a 13MP telephoto lens. The periscope lens includes a CMOS sensor and appears to come along with a refractive prism. The setup includes an electromagnetic control that could help enable an anti-shake effect.

For the newly-styled selfie-camera, Oppo has used a seven-toothed gearbox. A stepper motor on the right side enables this pop-up. Opp Reno’s pop-up selfie camera is one of its first kinds which is housed on a wedge-like arrangement. Not only it includes the sensor, it also houses a few other things like soft LED light, earpiece, microphone, and a rear flash.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition also includes a built-in heat dissipation system that uses a copper foil and gel to enable thermal arrangement.
