Leaks about Apple’s upcoming iPhone line-up have been making the rounds for a while now. Leaks and renders of the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max have been spotted a number of times. Now exclusive renders and a 360-degree video of the iPhone XR’s successor has been leaked online.
According to rumours, the iPhone XR successor will be called the iPhone XE. The phone has a similar design as the iPhone XR; however, the new renders reveal a glass rear panel with a large square bump which houses two cameras. The render shows that the cameras are arranged vertically, with the LED flash on the right.
The phone has a large display notch on the front, which will house the Face ID module components. OnLeaks says that the display on the iPhone XE will have a 6.1-inch display. The 2019 model is expected to have an identical LCD panel with 1792 x 828 pixels resolution.
The phone will have a Lightning port at the bottom along with the loudspeaker grill. It will have a power button located on the right spine along with the ejectable SIM card tray. The volume buttons and mute switch are seen on the left. The iPhone XR successor will measure 150.9 x 76.1 x 7.8 mm.
The iPhone XR successor will be powered by the A13 Bionic chipset which is speculated to be built using TSMC’s 7nm+ package. The soc is expected to offer a significant improvement in performance over the A12 Bionic.
The upcoming phone will have 12 MP shooters which will have a wide-angle lens and a 2x telephoto lens. The iPhone XR only had a single camera module. The phone will not have a front selfie camera as of now. Apple is expected to launch the new iPhones in September this year, however, there is no word on the pricing as of now. We should know more details about the Apple 2019 line-up nearer its launch! So, stay tuned!
