Alleged Xiaomi Mi 9T crosses several certifications; Launch imminent

23 May 2019 1

A new device apparently from the series Xiaomi Mi 9 has passed several certifications in Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, and Russia. The device with model number M1903F10G has passed the certification from NBTC in Thailand and NCC in Taiwan. The NBTC listing reveals the device belongs to Mi 9 series and it will be called Xiaomi Mi 9T. NCC certification, on the other hand, shows the support for Taiwan 4G full frequency band, NFC, Bluetooth & Wi-Fi. Both these certifications didn’t reveal any other specification.

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) lists the device with the same model number but didn’t reveal anything except Mi, Redmi, Xiaomi branding. The IMDA certification shows M1902F1G (Mi 9), and M1903F10G (Unknown Xiaomi Phone) are listed together. So, going by the character sequence, it’s fair to say the unnamed Xiaomi device comes from Mi 9 series. Also, the certification from different countries is enough to convey that the device will get launched in global markets as well.

Currently, there’s all hype for the Redmi K20 device which seems to be coming to give some serious completion to the very new OnePlus 7 Pro. But, currently, it can't be said can’t whether the model number M1903F10G is related to the K20 series or this is a different Xiaomi phone which may be called Poco F2 in India.

Note that Xiaomi Mi series includes 3 smartphones – Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, and Mi 9 Transparent Edition, so if the spotted device really exists, we will see a 4th one getting added to the series. The device is also speculated to be the successor to the Mi 8 Pro; plus, Xiaomi never used T naming scheme for Mi Series but however, NBTC listing suggests that the company may use T naming instead of Pro naming.

What makes the existence of such device more believing is the fact that Mi 9 China price has been reduced by 50 Yuan and 100 Yuan for 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB variants on the famous Chinese store JD.com. But the price hasn’t been reflected on Xiaomi’s official store and some other online retailers.

Well, whatever the name is, such a device does exist and we are eager to gain more insights on the same.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.

The couple of changes in the characters and the certification from multiple regions mean a strong possibility of the Xiaomi Mi 9T getting multiple region releases.
