Samsung has had its share of experiences with rugged and well-built smartphones. Unfortunately, it has been a long while since one has made an appearance. The last smartphone to follow this trend was the Samsung Xcover 4 which was launched all the way back in 2017. A new Geekbench listing surfaced online and is presumably believed to be the Samsung SM-G889F. This is supposed to be the successor To the Xcover 4.
The Samsung SM-G889F is rumoured to have the Exynos 9810 processor along with 4GB RAM. Coming to the Geekbench scores, the listing revealed a single-threaded score of 3,130 points and a multi-threaded score of 9,050 points. The listing also reveals that the device is running on Android 9 Pie. To give you more perspective, The Samsung Galaxy S Active is speculated to be a ruggedized version of the Galaxy S9 smartphone. This smartphone was even shown off in a video by none other than Roland Quandt. According to this source, the device features a 5.2-inch Quad HD display and a single 12 MP rear facing camera.
Rumour has it that this could fall into the price range of a premium mid-range smartphone with a price tag of $500-600. Hopefully, the coming weeks should shed some light on the alleged Samsung Galaxy S Active.
