Time, one of the most difficult concepts to wrap your head around. While it cannot be stopped, it can be displayed on the Always on Display (AOD) of your smartphone. Well, Xiaomi has stepped up its game by adding a Dual Clock Always on Display. This allows users the ability to set two different clocks on the Always on Display. Rumour has it that the company has been working on this ever since the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone.
This piece of information surfaced through a post made on Weibo. As of now, it is only limited to the developer version of supported Xiaomi devices. The company claims that this Always on Display feature will be available on all Xiaomi smartphones which have OLED displays. This means even a device likes the Mi 8, as well as the Mi Note 2, will have this feature. The update is schedule to arrive on the Mi Note 2 after it releases for the Mi 8 and the Mi MIX 3. This does seem practically and it’s nice to see Xiaomi still providing new features for a smartphone which launched in 2016.
This is certainly good news for those who own Xiaomi smartphones with OLED panels. A confirmation has come from the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, stating that all Xiaomi smartphones with OLED displays will receive the Dual Clock Always on Display feature.
