Apple has recently announced iOS 13 for its devices with performance improvements. Supposedly, this will be a groundbreaking update, bringing with it dark mode and a few other features. Alongside this, the new OS will also bring battery optimizations. As expected, older devices may not receive the update. Check out this list of Apple device which will receive iOS 13. Sadly, the introduction of iOS 13 will bring an end to the popular 3D Touch feature.
The beta version of the upcoming update reveals how Apple wants to do away with its 3D ouch feature even on its older iPhones. It’s sad to say but the feature will now become obsolete as the company is looking forward to adopting a technology which is similar to the one employed on the iPhone XR. Apple is going to replace it with software which allows users to invoke 3D Touch options as is available on Android.
However, this change will no longer leave 3D Touch as it used to be. This definitely removes some of the speed associated with 3D Touch and the long press won’t be as a fast as a harder press on the screen. However. This will not hamper functionality in any way and just introduces a new learning curve for users. iOS 13 is expected to make its appearance in September this year and with it, users will bid farewell to 3D Touch.
