Alleged Apple iPhone XR successor’s CAD renders have already shown what the device might end up looking like, but there’s still pretty much to know about it. We have hardly seen any insights on its specifications or what it’s capable of, apart from the fact that it may get dual rear cameras this time.
Well, moving, the bandwagon of leaks on Apple’s upcoming iPhone models has something to tell about the iPhone XR’s successor. A report coming from a news outlet states the iPhone XR 2 or iPhone XIR will have even better battery life. To be precise, the report mentions the capacity to be 3,110mAH, which is a 5% increase over last year’s 2,942mAH battery.
The report further states that the Chinese Amperex Technology Limited (ATL) has been granted the order of the iPhone XR 2 batteries. This is the same company that grabbed the orders for the Galaxy Note 7 batteries.
Apple iPhone XR is already a great device when it comes to the battery; it offers long hours of battery back up even if you’re doing some good work on it. So, now a beefed up battery capacity will be more beneficial. But the device will come with the new 7nm Apple A13 chipset and may include some other enhancements as well so an increased amount of battery capacity makes sense.
Not much is known about the iPhone XR 2 but, it’s speculated that the device will continue to feature LCD display panel similar to its predecessor. The presence of dual rear cameras would be the biggest change in its design, though. And, these cameras will be placed in a fashion to make a square module which is similar to its larger siblings’. Also, Apple is expected to opt for an alternative color scheme for this affordable model out of the three.
Well, iPhone followers know that Apple announces its new iPhone models in September so this way we have an ample amount of time to know more about it. Stay tuned while we connect you to more interesting leaks on them.
