Opera Software has launched a new kind of browser which includes some additional features to serve the gamers. Dubbed Opera GX gaming browser, it’s touted as the world’s first gaming browser built specifically to complement gaming. Opera says the new browser lets get the most of gaming and browsing at the same time.

The browser lets you control how much RAM and CPU resources it should consume. Web browsers tend to hog so much of the resources; they go harsh on CPU and RAM usage and ultimately consumes the power of the system as well. But the GX browser claims to offer you this control in your hands in its own settings. You can set limits on how much GX browser should eat up your system’s processor and RAM so that other applications could also take these resources and run smoothly. There are different RAM limit settings which you can choose from. If you choose a RAM Limiter, it will stay at or below the selected memory allotment but it can go slightly over the set limit if something requires. But applying the Hard Limit setting will force the browser to stay under the chosen memory limit no matter what.

The Opera GX browser has a Twitch integration which is always available in your sidebar. So, you can easily see channels you follow, who's online, and choose to receive notifications whenever someone you follow goes live.

Opera GX also comes with some gaming-centric features. For instance, the new tab screen on Opera GX will feature gaming deals and news from the gaming, technology, and entertainment categories. In addition to these, the GX browser also has standard Opera browser features, these include an ad blocker, free VPN.

Opera GX also has in-browser sound and lighting effects. Sound effects can be toggled on and off in the settings. Apart from these interesting features, the GX browser also lets you customize it using different colors and themes.

It doesn’t only integrate Twitch but also some chat messaging apps so that you chat without leaving your tab you’re currently browsing or working on. It integrates Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Vkontakte, and WhatsApp.

There's no official word on when Opera GX will ship for non-Windows devices. You can download the browser from the link provided below -
