OnePlus has now released the Android developer preview 2 to its OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T devices. The receivers are the developers, of course, and some early adopters as well who want to test a few things before the stable release. OnePlus also warns users that moving from DP1 to DP2 requires data wipe, so make sure you back up your data before proceeding.
The developer previews bring many risks along with them so it’s highly advisable that you should know them. OnePlus mentions that you first read the instructions carefully and be 100% sure of what you’re doing.
The Android Q DP2 brings along some known issues as well and OnePlus has listed them. These are –
- Emergency call doesn't work
- Enhanced VoLTE doesn't work
- Expanded screenshot doesn't work
- Low probability stability issues
- Application compatibility issues
Google decided to open its Android Q previews to twelve manufacturers, including the OnePlus. It’s different move taken by Google so as to offer the latest builds of its newest OS version to devices other than Pixel phones.
OnePlus has given the download links and the flashing instructions on its forums which you can refer from below.
