Apple 16-inch MacBook Pro with LCD display may launch in September

24 June 2019 0

Apple is reportedly planning to launch its new 16-inch MacBook Pro lineup in September this year. Well, Jeff Lin, an analyst at research firm HIS Markit has come up with this postulation. He also foresees that the new notebook will carry an LCD display. This goes opposite to what was reported earlier according to which the notebook would have carried an OLED display.

Lin also believes that the 16-inch LCD display will be supplied by LG Display, with a resolution of 3,072x1,920. Previously, it was reported that Apple was in talks with Samsung for OLED displays rather.

Well, the newest report at least corroborates what another known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo postulated in February. Kuo said that Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro with an all-new design will launch some point in 2019. However, he didn’t mention the type of display the device would feature or any other details.

Lin’s belief also considers a newer processor for the new MacBook Pro which isn’t something different. But the September launch doesn’t sound imminent since Apple brings new MacBooks in October. In September, the company launches new iPhones and we have some useful leaks and tips on them already. But, it’s good to note that slowly we have started hearing more about these unannounced MacBook Pros.

Last month, Apple upgraded its top-end MacBook Pros with new processors and updated keyboard as well. The updated 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros now include Intel’s latest 8th-gen and 9th-gen Core-series processors and they come with a promise to deliver two times faster performance than a quad-core MacBook Pro. While updating them, Apple also revised the butterfly keyboard as well.
