OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T are receiving OxygenOS 9.0.4 update from OnePlus. The latest OxygenOS beta brings June Android security patch and general bug fixes and improvements. OnePlus hasn’t mentioned what kind of improvements these older devices are getting via the incremental rollout of the OxygenOS 9.0.4, but it’s good to note that the devices are getting the latest security patch.
Complete changelog -
- Updated Android security patch to 2019.6
- General bug fixes and improvements
This is a staged rollout and will first be rolled out to a limited number of users today. The broader rollout will happen in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs.
It’s good to note OnePlus is even supporting the phones from 2016. OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T even received Android 9.0 Pie update back in May and they have continuously been updated to new security patches as well so as to avoid any potential risks.
It’s expected that OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T devices will continue to receive more such security updates. But Android Pie was the last major OS upgrade for the devices.
