The recently launched Xiaomi Mi CC9 series is expected to launch globally soon and if an FCC filing is to be referred, its cheaper version, called the Mi CC9e could launch as Android One smartphone in the form of Mi A3.
The model number of the spotted device in the FCC is M1906F9C and the schematic available in the filing shows a rear panel similar to the Mi CC9e. But you could also see an Android One logo on the bottom right of this panel, indicating that the filed device is an Android One device from Xiaomi. Also, the dimensions provided in the filings match the dimensions of the Xiaomi Mi CC9e. So, it appears we have enough shreds of evidence to support the possibility that Mi CC9e is actually arriving as an Android One device for global markets. The FCC label image also reveals that this device supports either dual SIM or a single SIM and a microSD card.
There have been speculations that believe this device could launch as the Mi A3, a device which has also been into rumors for so long now. Interestingly, another evidence is found that clearly indicates that the spotted device at FCC is none other than the Mi A3, a global variant of the Mi CC9e coming as an Android One device. Folks over at XDA Developers discovered that Ting’s BYOD page identifies the device with model name M1906F9SC and IMEI 864087040013098 as the Xiaomi Mi A3. Well, it’s too early to comment but note that the IMEI databases usually have the right information. Well, we hope to learn more about the device, stay tuned!
