Sony is reportedly also having something to bring soon to an era which hasn’t yet started but is definitely going to be the next major milestone in the smartphones industry. We are talking about foldable phones and Sony is the new name that would catch some attention.
According to the latest rumor poured in by the famous tipster Max J. for Samsung devices mainly, Sony is working on a competitor to the Galaxy Fold and Mate X. According to the tipster, Sony has a foldable rollable tablet and it’s readying it for late 2019. The tipster has also posted a GIF that shows how this device may end up looking like.
The GIF shared by SlashGear originally is actually showcasing the Samsung display rollable OLED prototype that came back in 2016. But referring to this, the tipster wants to give us a probable look of the device.
According to the tipster, the current prototype from Sony features a 3,220mAH battery and has SM7250 SoC. It has sourced its panel from LG Display and it features a “Nautilus design,” similar to Samsung’s prototype shared above. It has a 10x Zoom camera as well. The tipster also says that the retail models of this device may feature the Snapdragon 855 processor and Qualcomm X50 Modem. He even tweeted that the launch of this model could take place in December or early 2020. This is quite an early look at the launch, let’s see if more details on the same surfaces.
