Sony might be having new smartphone series in the pipeline that we may see getting launched during the coming IFA 2019 event happening in September in Berlin. According to the leaks, the new series could be Xperia 20 and we have already seen its factory CAD renders back in May, but the details were unknown before. Well, now, a new leak uncovers the specifications too.
As shared by a Japanese blog SumahoInfo, the Xperia 20 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC and paired with 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM depending on the variant. The storage variants will also differ and according to the leak, these could be 64GB or 128GB. The smartphone is said to feature dual rear cameras which will include 12MP sensors. Furthermore, the device is said to feature a 6.0-inch LCD display, carrying forward the 21:9 display of the Sony Xperia 1, which was launched at MWC 2019. The details on the front camera are unknown. The leak adds that the Sony Xperia 20 would measure 158x69x8.1mm, but the weight is unknown.
Taking a quick rewind of the reported design of the Xperia 20, it appears to be similar to the Xperia 10. This means the same arrangement of dual rear cameras and 21:9 taller display which is already speculated. The renders have shown the Xperia 20 is still having a thick top bezel. This may not be liked by the users since several companies are leaping ahead and coming with new solutions to have a truly bezel-less display.
Well, if IFA 2019 is the event where the device would launch then we are just two months away from witnessing it. This is just the start of the leaks, we may get to know more about the device in the coming days or weeks. So, stay tuned.
