One of the upcoming premium smartphones of the remaining year is said to be the new Mate series from Huawei and we have a heap of leaks on it already. Going by the recently spotted real-life images, the Mate 30 series may include slim bezels and curved display along with a wider notch to house various sensor and front camera. However, there have been rumors that claim the notch of the Mate 30 Pro isn’t going to be too wide as Huawei is skipping the 3D face unlock.
And, now going by the freshly-leaked protective film of the Mate 30 Pro, it can be confirmed that the device is indeed having a narrower notch as the cutout looks smaller than the Mate 20 Pro. However, we can’t confirm the genuineness of this spotted screen protector and so as any other information associated with it. Well, whatever the case is, let’s proceed with what has surfaced now.
The tipster Ice Universe that particularly serves tips and leaks on Samsung’s upcoming devices has shared a bunch of pictures of the protective film which is said to be belonging to the alleged Mate 30 Pro. One picture isn’t different from the other picture in the set but it seems the leak only wants to highlight the notch cutout which isn’t as wide as that available in the Mate 20 Pro.
While it’s good to note that the notch is getting trimmed, the idea of still having this big notch in today's date isn't quite acceptable, considering there are several other options to get rid of it completely. But the Pro model is going to perform several other duties as well via the sensors housed on the notch, so it makes sense to have a sufficient room for those resources.
Well moving on, another key take away which is visible from the leak is the curved display which is going to enhance the overall design. We are yet to know exactly when the Mate 30 series is coming this year. So stay tuned while we gather more information for you.
