OnePlus entering into the TV business isn’t a new buzz in the tech town. The company itself confirmed about them last year and later a reliable tipster, Ishan Agarwal tweeted that the Smart TVs are coming from OnePlus sooner than we think. So, while its existence was confirmed, no details were uttered that could tell us what to expect from them. However, the tipster did show his doubt on OnePlus coming with an OLED panel but again it wasn’t just enough to rely on.
Now, fast forward to today, Bluetooth SIG listings of the OnePlus TV have surfaced that are revealing the key details of them, including the screen sizes, display, OS, and more.
Going by the listing, OnePlus appears to have TVs ready in these screen sizes – 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. And, as predicted, all these models have LED panel but sport 4K resolution. Bluetooth SIG lists about 40 models of OnePlus TV with the description as “Unique Android TV.” This further alludes that the suggested TVs would run on the Android operating system. They all also support Bluetooth 5.0.
As stated by the company’s CEO himself, the new Smart TVs by OnePlus will be launched in India first, one of the important markets. But the model numbers listed contains country codes like IN, CN, and US, reflecting that the upcoming consumer electronics product from OnePlus will launch in other countries as well. The Bluetooth SIG listings for upcoming OnePlus TVs splurge more details about the models.
According to the listing, the 43-inch model with model number 43Q2IN, 43U2IN will be sold only in India while the 75-inch model may come in the US and China. So, referring to what is available, India may not get the 75-inch model.
The exact date of the launch of the OnePlus TVs is still unknown but the listing suggests that we aren’t too far away from it. Stay tuned and come back to know more about these TVs, while we collect more information for you.
