Apple may have an event to hold on September 10 where we could see new hardware getting launched. The most expected is the new iPhone lineup which may include three new iPhone models. Now, a detailed report from Bloomberg reveals the key features of these upcoming hardware.

The report cites the people familiar with the matter and claims that alongside the new iPhones, Apple has iPads, Apple Watches, and a new MacBook Pro to launch as well. Apple is also said to be having new AirPods and a smaller cheaper HomePod to launch as soon next year.

Talking about the new iPhone models, Apple could bring two camera-focused Pro models which will succeed the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max. The Pro iPhone models will include triple rear cameras where the third sensor will be responsible for capturing ultra-wide-angle photos and videos. It will zoom out and capture a larger field of view. The sensors will capture three images simultaneously and use new artificial intelligence software to automatically correct the combined photo. The report even offers a detailed aim of these sensors by exemplifying it. "If, for example, a person is accidentally cut out of one of the shots. The new system will also take higher resolution pictures rivaling some traditional cameras. Photos taken in very low-light environments will improve, too."

These Pro models will also have better video recording capabilities. Apple is even said to have developed a feature to retouch, apply effects, alter colors, and more. Apple will also bring the successor to iPhone XR which will include double cameras on the back. All three models will have faster A13 processors. The processor is said to be including a component which is internally being known as “AMX” or “matrix” co-processor. This will handle some heavy tasks. It may also help with computer vision and augmented reality.

  • Reverse charging
  • Nearly identical to the current models but will come with updated OLED screens that could lack sensitive 3D Touch
  • New Multi-angle Face ID sensor to capture a wider field of view
  • Enhanced water resistance
  • No new iPhone model will include 5Gin 2019, 5G iPhone models will come in 2020, something we have been hearing about

Apple will refresh its low-end iPad for schools and iPad Pro model as well. The 11-inch and the 12.9-inch will get similar upgrades to the iPhones. This means we may see upgraded cameras and faster processors. Design-wise, the new iPad models are said to have a similar look like the current versions. The lower-end iPad will include a 10.2-inch screen.

Apple will bring a revamped MacBook Pro with a screen size above 16-inch. It will have slimmer bezels and its overall size will be close to the current 15-inch models. It is expected to attract professional computer users. Apple is also said to be launching the previously announced Mac Pro and 32-inch XDR Pro Display later this year.

Apple Watch, AirPods, and HomePod

The report conveys, this year, the changes will be more muted on the Apple Watch and we would rather see watchOS 6 software update mainly. The references to new ceramic and titanium models have been found, which mean at least new cases are coming. Talking about the AirPods, they are likely to be more expensive than the current $159 model. Some of the new and key features would include water resistance and noise cancellation with a launch planned by next year. Apple is also reportedly working on a cheaper HomePod as well. The new model is likely to include two tweeters, down from seven in the current HomePod.

These were the details of the upcoming hardware products, Apple is expected to bring at its September event.
