Motorola’s first foldable phone which is apparently called Razr has once again tipped to launch this year only. The fresh report comes from CNET which claims to have obtained the tidbit from someone working close to the company.
The report mentions it’s unclear when the device will hit the shelves but the world will see it getting unveiled this year only. The source hasn’t revealed any specific timeframe of the launch, but it’s suspected that the phone will launch after the Huawei Mate X only. The report doesn’t talk about anything else and puts the previous reports collectively.
Speculations are, Motorola has already missed the launch of its Razr foldable smartphone since it planned to bring it in Q3 2019. If this is true, the phone joins the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X that have delayed launches as well, so they all have something in common to share. A report came in August also stated that the foldable phone from Motorola will go on sale in December in Europe, but we haven’t had heard about the same since then. But now it appears the latest report from CNET is going in line with the previous speculation.
Well, we can’t bet on any of these reports but it’s always good to hear some certainty about any unannounced phone.
According to some renders, the foldable phone is branded as Razr because it shares the similar design language to the original Razr flip phone, except the fact that the new phone is going to have a display spread over the inner side as well where the flap of the phone rests. There are some vague details available on the Razr foldable phone and. So, let’s just wait for some details and more reports to join in.
