Samsung is among the first companies to bring 5G products first in the tech industry. We have seen the Galaxy S10 5G taking success, the Galaxy Note 10 5G, Galaxy A90 5G, and the very fresh Galaxy Fold with 5G support. And, now the company is appeared to be readying its first 5G Android tablet as well.
Going by the Bluetooth SIG listing, it appears the 5G tablet from Samsung is going to be the variant of the latest Tab S6 tablet that went official in August. The listing clearly shows the name of the device which was previously unknown. The Tab S6 variant carrying the model number SM-T866N has now been uncovered not only by the Bluetooth SIG listing but also by the Wi-Fi Alliance.
While we get the confirmation that there’s a new variant of the tablet in works, we also get to learn that this could hold the 5G support. The Wi-Fi Alliance confirms the existence of the tablet and the Bluetooth SIG clearly shows the 5G variant listed, confirming the first 5G tablet is on its way.
There are no further details on the same but it’s safe to assume that it will hold the same specs as the original version, though there’s going to be a 5G modem.
There’s also no word on availability and the price of the tablet. The Galaxy Tab S6 5G is expected to release in South Korea first and it may come outside to reach other markets as well.
