The possibility of Motorola working on a bezel-less phone with pop-up selfie camera is getting strengthened as a bunch of leaked images are spotted on Slashleaks. These images may not offer a clearer look but we can, at least, tell the changes coming.
As you would see, the front of the device has no bezels, though a thin strip of the bezel is available on the bottom. A closer look at the bottom bezel reveals this is indeed the Motorola phone since it reads “Motorola confidential property not for sale.” While this image is enough to portray that there’s no notch on the display to house the selfie camera, another image showing the popped out camera clearly confirms it. From the image, it appears the pop-up camera arrangement is fitted on the right side of the top edge of the device in question.
One more image in the bunch specifically highlights the back of the phone that holds two cameras. Also, the fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back below the camera setup. Unlike previous models, this model has no Motorola branding labeled inside the fingerprint scanner and the scanner rather has a circular ring around it that glows.
The back of the phone appears to have a glossy finish coming from the glass or polycarbonate back and has a blue-ash green tint that fades to black at different angles.
The name of the leaked device is unknown but it’s being addressed as Moto G8 from a previous leak. It’s also possible that Motorola will launch it under its One-series. The leaked images have “Motorola Latino America” labeled on them, so it appears the device is already being tested in and around Latin America or might release in the region first.
The device in question appears to be the same phone that was leaked by the popular leaker Evan Blass back in August. He didn’t share the name of the device and rather asked "Which Moto is this?" and left us guessing.
We may hear more about this device in the coming weeks. So stay tuned.
