Netflix, the streaming media service houses a pool of top TV shows and movies and offers many features to help you organize your favorites and build a library. It is a perfect platform to explore different genres and also watch some gripping original series. However, there can be a few things which may not be liked by everyone and one example of it is the autoplay.

Many users have complained to Netflix about the autoplay feature that plays the previews of the TV shows and movies on their own when you traverse the library on the web. People wanted to have control over it so that they could get rid of this annoying feature. So, now Netflix has brought this way after hearing the feedback. Netflix announced the new feature with the link to the support page to guide you on how to disable it. Netflix writes in the tweet, “We’ve heard the feedback loud and clear- members can now control whether or not they see autoplay previews on Netflix.”

Here's how to turn on and off autoplay -

  • Sign In to Netflix from a web browser.

  • Select Manage Profiles from the menu.

  • Select the profile you’d like to update.

Well, autoplay is subjective and it is not necessary that every user is finding it irksome. This is why Netflix has come up with the checkbox option that lets you enable or disable the feature. This makes it clear that disabling the autoplay would not bring a permanent change and you can enable them once again, in case you want to have this feature back on the platform.

Along with this, you can now also control whether you want Netflix to autoplay the next episode in series on all devices.

Thankfully, the change is specifically tied to profiles only, which means a change made in one profile wouldn’t reflect in others. That’s how the feature is available under the Manage Profiles settings. But it will take affect across all the devices.
