Chinese tech giant LeEco has now launched a new device, but this time it isn't a smartphone. Instead, the company has decided to make its entrance in the newly increasing market of action cameras. The company wants to compete with the recently backed Yi 4K camera by Xiaomi and of course, the GoPro.
The new LeEco action camera is called the Liveman C1 and can shoot 4K video at 30fps. Although it puts on par with the original Yi 4K device, it cannot match the rival's ability to shoot 4K at 60fps.
The LeEco Liveman C1 has a 16-megapixel camera sensor with a 140-degree field of view and a G-sensor in order to support automatic recording movement. The camera has a 1.8-inch touchscreen display which serves as a viewfinder. A microSD card slot is accompanied with a micro HDMI port, built-in Wi-Fi, and a 1,050mAh battery.
As for the box packaging, the customer will receive a waterproof case that can help record under water for up to 40 meters, two self-adhesive mounts, a bunch of extensions, and a USB cable for charging. Although currently, the rice of the device is unknown, the Liveman C1 will be available for purchase before the Spring Festival in China on January 28.
