Samsung has announced that it has become the first smart TV brand to offer Apple TV application natively. It means Samsung smart TV users will now be able to enjoy Apple TV music streaming services from their living rooms. The app will be available for free download on all Samsung smart TV models from 2018 or later.
The app will be listed within the Samsung app store through which all other apps are accessible. Once downloaded and installed, it can also be added to the home screen for quick access. It is currently unknown whether the app supports previews like Netflix and Spotify. These previews basically offer personalized suggestions for playing content without the need for launching the app.
All the users who will register with Apple Music through Samsung smart TV will get a free trial for three months. Like most of the trial offers, it is available only for new subscribers. If you have already subscribed to the service via any other platform, you will not be eligible for the freebie.
If you have a 2018 or later Samsung Smart TV, simply visit the app store to access Apple Music for free. This is not the first time we are seeing Samsung and Apple teaming up like this. Its smart TVs received support for iTunes and AirPlay 2 earlier last year.
