Samsung has announced The Terrace, its first outdoor 4K QLED TV with a soundbar. As the name implies, the TV has specifically been designed to offer large-screen entertainment when you are enjoying family time at any outdoor living space like a terrace or a courtyard.
The 4K QLED TV for outdoors packs all those features that are required when you are watching content outside. Take for instance the extremely bright 2000 nits 2160p screen that has been designed specially so that it stays bright enough in extreme sunlight situations. Also, the display is coated with anti-reflection and adaptive picture technology that optimizes content by analyzing its surroundings and minimizes unwanted glare.
Also, the profile of the TV invites many challenges, including changing weather conditions. That’s why it is IP55 certified so to avoid the inevitable water and dust.
The Samsung 4K QLED TV Terrace comes in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch models. The Terrace comes equipped with Tizen, Samsung’s Smart TV platform that powers features such as Samsung TV Plus, a free video service with over 120 channels. It also includes Samsung Health as well as some leading streaming services.
The Terrace also supports Bixby, Amazon Alexa, and soon-to-launch Google Assistant.
There is a separate soundbar which is IP55 rated as well. The Soundbar features distortion canceling technology so to offer you good audio quality regardless of the surrounding environment. The Terrace features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity so to connect with soundbar and other devices.
The starting price of the Terrace is $3,499 for 55-inch and it goes up to $6,499 for the 75-inch. You have to spend additional $1,200 for soundbar in order to complete the setup.
The present situation where we all are living in is here to stay for longer. In fact, our lifestyle habits have changed as trends are evolving due to this COVID-19 pandemic. We are living inside more and spending time with our loved ones more than before. Samsung took the right opportunity to launch an appropriate product at the right time. But this product carries a lofty price tag which not everyone can afford. And, those who can, will find more engagement around their barbeques get together.
