PSA: Google offering free Chromecast with Google TV to YouTube TV subscribers

11 December 2020 0

As we head towards the holiday season, Google has started offering free Chromecast with Google TV units to YouTube TV subscribers in the United States. This is a tempting giveaway but has a catch which means not everyone can avail it. The offer is available only for long-time subscribers of the service.

In order to be eligible, you will need to be a YouTube TV subscriber since the start of June 2018. Another condition is that your membership should not have any kind of pause in between including cancellations. It means if you have paid for the service for every single month since the cut-off month, only then you will be able to get Chromecast with Gooogle TV for free. The dongle usually costs $50 if bought separately.

Google is said to be getting in touch with eligible users through email and on the same mail account that they are using with the service. The email mentions all the details and that the color option is Snow. It features a link that needs to be clicked for redeeming the free gift and the deadline for doing so is December 31st. We would advise you to keep an eye on all new emails and once you receive the mail, redeem your gift as soon as possible so that you do not end up forgetting and missing the offer.

YouTube TV is not a cheap subscription service by any means. It costs $64.99 per month and offers access to over 85 live TV channels, NFL/NBA/MLB network access, and unlimited cloud DVR storage among other benefits. The best part is it supports up to six accounts per household and up to three simultaneous streams.
