Samsung today announced that it will hold an event titled “Unbox & Discover 2021” on March 2. The global invitation posted on Samsung Newsroom shares no details but it is pretty suggestive. Going by the description of the invitation, it is clear we are going to see new Smart TVs getting unveiled at the event.
Samsung will share its vision for how the company’s latest innovative products are set to redefine the role of the TV through cutting-edge technologies, beautiful design, and impactful partnerships.
Also, the contents inside the animated invitation reads, “Unbox new screens inspired by you. Discover new ways to enjoy your lifestyle.” This is pretty indicative that what's coming on March 2 at the "Unbox & Discover 2021" event.
We suspect Samsung is likely to bring a new premium lineup, including new Neo QLED, Micro LED TVs, and Bespoke appliances. However, the exact details on the same remain a mystery.
Also, while announcing the fourth quarter and FY 2020 results, Samsung shared that its Consumer Electronics Division saw a quarterly fall in profit. However, it predicts that the division is going to get stable with the launch of a new premium TV lineup in the market.
The Consumer Electronics Division will likely post stable results despite weakness in seasonal demand, underpinned by new product launches and the introduction of new premium lineups.
Samsung has already offered a glimpse of its New QLED TVs at this year’s CES held last month. Samsung introduced the first 4K and 8K Neo QLED TVs at the virtual event but didn’t disclose when we can expect them in the market. It is possible that we may hear more about them in a specially dedicated event on March 2. Also, Samsung may take the curtains off the new soundbars or related devices that could create a cinema-like experience at home.
We just have to be more patient as the said event is not too far from here. Let’s see what Samsung has planned for the consumer electronics market this time.
