Samsung TV Plus streaming service now available in India

31 March 2021 0

Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung TV Plus streaming service in India. It is a completely free service that allows users to watch select live TV channels as well as on-demand content. It is currently available for Samsung smart TVs launched in 2017 or later but will also be coming to Galaxy smartphones and tablets soon enough.

Everything available on Samsung TV Plus to consume will be without any charge. In fact, users will not even have to sign-up or provide any kind of details. It will be a pre-installed app on all supported Samsung smart TV models which means there is no need of installing any new app either. It will be accessible from the app drawer where you already see all other apps installed on your smart TVs.

The announcement says that content will be spread across different genres like news, lifestyle, technology, gaming and science, sports and outdoors, music, movies, and binge-able shows. There will also be recommendations of content as well as information about what's playing currently and what will be playing next. It has further revealed that more content and live TV channels will be added in the future.

As for Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets, the service will become available with devices running O OS or higher. It is expected to release on these devices sometime during April 2021. Once it lands publically, it can be downloaded from both Google Play Store and Samsung Galaxy Store.
