LG has officially announced that NVIDIA GeForce Now and Apple Music apps are coming to select smart TVs. The announcement was made via separate posts on the official blog. These selected models are the ones that run LG's custom webOS as the smart TV operating system.

NVIDIA GeForce NOW is a well-known cloud gaming service that allows users to stream their favorite video games on any supported device. It is under testing for over a couple of years and is now making its way to LG smart TVs. It is available for 2021 LG 4K OLED, QNED Mini LED, and NanoCell TV models through the LG Content Store.

The app can be downloaded for free and will offer more than 35 free-to-play games. LG says users will simply need a compatible TV model and a controller to get started. Some of the popular titles include Rocket League, Destiny 2, Marvel's Guardians of Galaxy, and Crysis Remastered Trilogy. The best part is that these games are playable in up to 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second.

As for Apple Music support, it is simply a new way for LG Smart TV users to enjoy their favorite tracks, artists, and albums. It will bring the whole Apple Music catalog of 90 million songs, playlists, music videos, and live artist-hosted radio. The app is available for all LG TVs running at least webOS 4.0. There is also a promotional offer where new users can avail three-month free subscription to the music streaming service.
