Xiaomi has silently listed its newest streaming stick named Xiaomi TV Stick 4K on the global website. It is an upgraded version of the Mi TV Stick unveiled last year. The biggest difference between the two streaming sticks is obviously the added support for 4K content streaming. It also boots Android 11 operating system which is the latest Android version available for smart TVs.
The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K has exactly the same design and appearance as the predecessor. It has a microUSB port for power and an HDMI port for connecting with TVs. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Cortex A35 processor with Mali-G31 MP2 GPU for handling graphics-related tasks. There is 2GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage for installing apps.
The listing reveals that Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube apps will come pre-installed. The streaming stick also has a companion Bluetooth remote control with dedicated buttons for Netflix and Prime Video. It also has a button for triggering Google Assistant. The stick also offers Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS HD technologies for an immersive media consumption experience.
The connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz) support. There is also an in-built Chromecast for casting your phone's content on the big screen. The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K pricing details are currently unknown but it should be within $50 considering Xiaomi's track record.
