Mobvoi has announced the TicWatch C2 Plus, a small upgrade over the original TicWatch C2 that came in 2018. The new TicWatch C2 Plus offers more RAM compared to its predecessor that came nearly 2 years back.
Another difference is the retail box now also bundles a silicon strap in case you want to change the existing one. You can either go with a silicon strap or a leather strap to match whichever color option you choose. These are the only two areas in which the new TicWatch C2 Plus differs from its predecessor.
The new TicWatch C2 Plus just like its predecessor comes in Onyx, Rose Gold, and Platinum color options and you have two strap options to choose from.
The TicWatch C2 Plus does not bring anything else and it carries the same set of old specifications that belong to a two-year-old watch. Mobvoi, however, is touting the RAM size of the C2 Plus, stating, you will experience a “noticeable boost and smoother user experience.”
It is still powered by Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset, which is an extremely old processor. The design of the TicWatch C2 Plus is also unchanged compared to its predecessor TicWatch C2. The new watch carries the same sleek design and it looks so sophisticated, but a very old processor is a huge turn-off. Just like the TicWatch C2, the Rose Gold variant of the TicWatch C2 Plus also looks thinner compared to the other two color options.
Just like its predecessor, the new TicWatch C2 Plus supports Google Pay with NFC payments. It has a heart-rate sensor, built-in GPS, Step tracking, music streaming, more than 1000 watch faces with Google Play. The new watch is also IP68 rated which means it is water and dust resistant.
The Mobvoi TicWatch C2 received many great reviews during its time, one for being an ultra-affordable Wear OS watch.
The price of the Mobvoi TicWatch C2 Plus is $209.99/£189.99 / €209.99. It is already up for sale on the company’s official site and Amazon.
