30 June 2020 0

Oppo Watch that went official in China in March this year is probably getting ready to launch in the US as well. The smartwatch has allegedly been caught on the FCC listings and the appearance on the certification site comes as evidence that the launch in the country is imminent.

The model number of the Oppo Watch on the FCC document is OW19W12. The listing also shows the live images of the Oppo Watch along with its strap and charging cable.

The FCC listing makes it apparent that Oppo is prepping to target the country which admires Apple Watch and its design the most. Oppo Watch looks exactly similar to the Apple Watch in terms of appearance and we are eager to know the response of the users in the US on the carbon copy of the Apple Watch that will launch at a low price tag.

The FCC listing of the Oppo Watch poses no other relevant information except for the fact the smartwatch will be available on Amazon.com for purchase. Upon clicking “Purchase on Amazon: Oppo Watch,” you will be navigated to Amazon.com just. And, you will not find anything if you try searching with the term “Oppo Watch” on e-commerce.

Oppo Watch comes in 41m and 46mm sizes, with 1.6-inch and 1.9-inch screen sizes respectively. The watch has minimal bezels all around and aluminum build. It also offers electrocardiogram (ECG) functionality. It is powered by Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset and runs ColorOS Watch. It offers no SIM slot support but has the eSIM that does the necessary. The support also adds built-in cellular connectivity and it comes with built-in GPS modules as well as NFC connectivity too.

The Oppo Watch launched in China for around $215. Let’s see how much the smartwatch will actually be tagged for the US.
